Dear friends, We are now contacting you regarding the next Part II exam of the EBEORL-HNS that will be held on the 10th November in Vienna.
Examiners will be expected to arrive to Vienna on Friday the 9th November at midday. The pre-harmonization meeting will be held at 16.00 hours, ALL examiners will have to attend this meeting. The exam will take place on Saturday the 10th November and will take all day. An evening meal has been organised at the end of a hard working day after the exam. Examiners can make their way back home at anytime on Sunday the 11th.
This year we have introduced several changes in the organisation. 1. We have decided 3 examining rooms. One room for Neurootology, one for Rhinology and one for Head and Neck. Six tables will be allocated in each room. The pre-harmonization meeting will also take place in three different rooms and examiners will go through the questions that will be asked in the room they have been allocated to ONLY. This meeting will be chaired by the Supervisor allocated to the room. 2. A new marking system has been decided to evaluate candidates. Examiners will be informed during the pre-exam meeting. 3. We have moved in this edition to a New Hotel: The Imperial Riding School Vienna Hotel (visit their web page for more information LINK). The new hotel has been decided due to the fact that the Astoria Hotel could not offer rooms for the decided date as it was already booked. But we really think that the change will be for good! We have found a unique style hotel which is at walking distance to the examination venue. We are sure that the change will proof to be for better! Examiners will have two nights covered in this hotel for the exam (Friday and Saturday nights). Should you wish to stay longer, please contact the hotel as you will get a special price for extending your booking.
I need confirmation from all of you as to whether you can attend Vienna 2012 as examiner. If there is a room (out of the three mentioned before) to which you will not be happy to be allocated, please say so to me by mail and we will do our best to avoid your allocation to that room.
ALL examiners attending Vienna 2012 are kindly asked to bring to Vienna (or send it by mail to me at anytime before the exam) 5 multiple choice questions and 2 oral guided question for our pool.
Looking forward to your answer regarding your participation as examiners to Vienna 2012. Please reply before the 31st May at mmota@ebeorl-hns.org.
Best regards. Marķa
